These are trail marker stakes. See that stuff under the snow? That’s Alfalfa, it’s like an 8” carpet under the snow. When you go outside the stakes, especially in low snow conditions, your track is like a rototiller, and it tears that Alfala out by the roots. That in turn pisses off the farmer who planted it. That in turn gets our trails closed.
PLEASE STAY IN THE STAKES! The groomer will cover the Alfala and pack the snow over it and build up a base over it but it takes a good accumulation to do it. So please stay on the trails and don’t ride on them when there isn’t good coverage.
You would think we wouldn’t have to say this every year but it never fails… someone will go and do it…
Club volunteers spend hours marking these trails and signing them please stay on them!

Unfortunately with the rain overnight and the warm temps the snow has gotten too thin. Trails are now closed to protect our landowners property.

The gate on Tucker road at the end of Engaard road is now open. The club has not yet been out so watch out for downed trees. If you see any issues please report them to us.

We'll be putting in the hours this week, so if you can help any day, please let us know. Currently planning a small crew tommorow, and then really hitting things starting Tuesday and working each day till we're done. Many hands would get it done quicker.
